Congratulations to Dr. Rahman Tashakkori, Dr. Mitch Parry, and Dr. Baset Hamza and their collaborators, Dr. Clare Scott Chialvo of Appstate Biology and Dr. Jennifer Weller of UNCC Biochemistry for receiving ~$1.1M NC Research Opportunities Initiative (ROI) grant. This project, App State Multipurpose Apiary Informatics System (AppMAIS), investigates the honey bee decline in recent years which is a notable agricultural concern. The project will address a significant need for an apicultural information system that helps enhance the research and knowledge in this field.
