Dr. Patricia Johann has been invited to deliver a course on programming language semantics at the 2020 Oregon Programming Languages Summer School (OPLSS). Her course will comprise four 80-minute lectures in topics directly related to her research in semantics of programming languages.
The Programming Languages community has a long tradition of spring and summer schools to train the next generation of researchers. OPLSS is the premier summer school for internationally leading PhD students, post-doctoral scholars, and early career researchers. In addition to a one-week preparatory "boot camp," OPLSS features two full weeks of lectures and tutorials by experts in the field. Dr. Johann was also an invited lecturer in 2016.
OPLSS is attended by over 250 people each year and has been held at the University of Oregon for nearly 20 years. OPLSS is supported by the NSF, ACM Sigplan, the US Air Force, Facebook, Galois, Google, Jane Street, Microsoft, Intel, and others.
