MAGIC CTF 006

On Saturday Nov 1, Michael Dougherty and Professor Larry Bridges of CS coached six ASU students, John Biddix, Daniel Lopes, Mike Swanke, Cori Ernhart, Kennedy Wilkins, and Jackson Sippe,  to compete in MAGIC CTF 006, an international cybersecurity competition. The teams were given four hours to whittle down a large list of information security challenges. Despite having no previous CTF experience, ASU team put on an impressive showing of resourcefulness, quick wit, and problem-solving skills. ASU team finished in 6th place out of 46 teams.

ASU team was the highest-ranked team outside of Maryland, beating NC teams from UNCG and Fayetteville State.
