Congratulations to the first cohort of the scholars in the Appalachian High Achievers in STEM scholarship program funded by an NSF S-STEM grant. The main purpose of the program is to assist scholars majoring in chemistry, computer science, geology, applied mathematics, and physics succeed in these majors. These scholars join their peers from the previous S-STEM program. Highlights: Weekly seminars, Study groups for core classes, Mentoring and tutoring corner, Leadership workshop series, Peer-mentoring, Resume writing and internship/job search workshop, and Community building .
